About
Troy is the owner and principal photographer at Angell Photography. He is experienced in many genres of photography, but has a genuine passion for photographing people, which is why he focuses specifically on headshot and portrait photography.
Troy works both in studio and on location. He is detail oriented in his preparation, shooting and editing. His image style is rich, colorful, bright and vibrant.
Troy believes his work excels because of his training, knowledge, experience, and commitment to his craft.
Troy regularly attends classes and seminars on headshot and portrait photography presented by leaders in the photographic industry.
He travels to professional photography conferences throughout the country each year to learn and stay up to date on the most current practices, products and services. Troy has trained in New York City under the guidance of Peter Hurley, the industry leader in headshot photography. Troy continues to study and work with Peter Hurley as a member of the Headshot Crew.
Troy is a member of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), a non-profit community of successful professional photographers whose mission is to provide education, resources and industry standards of excellence.
Troy supports this mission through teaching local PPA photography workshops to educate other photographers.
Troy is committed to enhancing his skills, knowledge and techniques in headshot and portrait photography so he can provide you with the best and most up to date services possible.

Angell Photography was founded in 2011 and has operated at its current location since 2012. Angell Photography is a registered trade name business with the State of Maryland, pays business taxes and carries several types of indemnification and liability insurance. This means you can rest assured you've chosen a legitimate professional who is serious about providing you with the best quality services.
About The Studio
The studio is located just south of Frederick off I-270 in Urbana, MD. It is a large, well equipped, in-home studio, comprised of two main shooting areas, a tabletop product area, a large meeting/teaching space, a private dressing room, a kitchenette, a restroom, high speed Internet, and is handicapped accessible.
All of these amenities are provided to make your experience in the studio as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Studio visits are welcome, but by appointment only.
