Everyone needs a high quality headshot, whether it's for your career, social media, or some other purpose. Your professional headshot is often the first impression someone sees of you, so you want it to showcase you in the best possible way. Headshots can be game changers or deal breakers. You don't want a snapshot, selfie or from a photo "that one time you looked nice at a friend's wedding" when you cropped other people out. Headshots can be done both in studio and on location. In studio headshots are ideal when you're looking for a simple background in a controlled, indoor environment. On location headshots are better when you're looking for a specific location, environmental background, or you prefer the photographer comes to you.
Preparing For Your Headshot Session
Most people aren't sure how to prepare for their headshot session. Many will overcompensate because they believe more is better. They will select clothing with bright colors and busy patterns, they will over style their hair excessively, looking unnatural, and if applicable, will use too much makeup and wear excessive or large jewelry. This all takes away from the focus of what the headshot is supposed to be. While they believe it will make their headshot better, if often does the opposite, creating an unnatural look with a lot of distractions.
Not knowing how to prepare is normal, so don't worry. To help with this, I've prepared a checklist for you.

Premium Headshot SessionsList Item 1

Premium Headshot sessions are done in the studio in a relaxed, enjoyable environment, providing individualized and personalized attention. These sessions include personalized expression and posing coaching to capture genuine and authentic emotional expressions designed to make you appear confident and approachable. They include wardrobe, look and background changes, as well as, review of the images throughout the session to make changes or adjustments as needed. During the sessions, detailed attention is given to posing, expressions, hair, makeup and clothing. One (1) retouched image from the session is included. These sessions are only $300 and are scheduled for two (2) hours, but have some flexibility. Additional retouched images are available for $100 each. Images are delivered within 3 to 5 business days of the session.

Express Headshot Sessions

Express headshot sessions are done in the studio for those who need a single, simple, quick headshot with fast turnaround. They don't include the individualized and personalized attention included with the premium headshot sessions above. They don't include the posing and expression coaching, wardrobe, look, or background changes. Image capture, review and selection is all done all within the 15 minute session. These sessions are $150 and are scheduled for 15 minutes. One (1) retouched image from the session is included. Only the one (1) included retouched image is available and is delivered within 24 hours of the session.

Group, Team & Company HeadshotsList Item 2
Group, team and company headshot sessions are a blend of the Premium and Express Headshot Sessions. They recieve much of the individualized and personalized attention, but are shorter in duration due to accomodating multiple people. There is a discounted session fee for each additional person done on the same day. Each session includes expression and posing coaching, wardrobe changes, different looks, image review during the session, and one (1) high resolution retouched image from the session. Additional high resolution retouched images are available for $100 each.

Group & Team Portraits
Group portraits are a great way to display your team's camaraderie and cohesiveness to support your mission.
Group portrait sessions include expression and posing coaching, wardrobe changes, different looks, and one (1) high resolution retouched image from the session. Additional high resolution retouched images are available for $100 each.

New Employee Onboarding
Angell Photography has a annual plan for companies and organizations that regularly hire new employees needing headshots as part of their onboarding process. This program requires an annual contract and the employess coming to the studio, but you'll recoup your cost by the sixth person and benefit from significant cost savings for all subsequent employees within that year.
An additional benefit of this plan is that we assume all the logistics and sceduling of your employees' headshot sessions for you. We simply provide you with a link to provide to your employees. They schedule with us, relieving you of that responsibility, and we deliver the retouched images to you.

On Location Headshots
On location headshot sessions within a 50 mile radius of the studio add a $300 per location, per day fee. This fee accounts for travel, equipment transportation, setup and tear down. On location headshot sessions beyond that distance incur a slightly higher fee based on the additional travel and transportation.

Environmental Headshots
Environmental headshots are a great way to have the best of both worlds, showing your employees with a background of eye-catching imagery rather than a solid background. The background could be your organization's space or a specific location. Environmental backgrounds can also be applied to images that have solid backgrounds, providing more use options for one image.

Conference, Event & High Volume HeadshotsList Item 3
These are different from the types of sessions listed above because of the volume of people being done. Each person recieves brief posing and expression coaching, on-site registration, image review, image selection, and instant delivery of images via email or text. As a host or sponsor, you have the ability for branding, host or sponsorship messaging, information collection, lead list generation, and consistent headshots for everyone.
Pricing for large events, conferences and high-volume headshots is by a full and/or half day rates instead of individual session fees or hourly rates.
